Winchester and Romsey
Winchester is the county town of Hampshire, in the south of England, to the south-west of London.
Recently voted the "best place to live in the UK" (for its quality of life), Winchester is a small (50.000 population) very attractive small city with a world-famous Cathedral. Once the Capital of England (in the time of King Arthur), it has many historic buildings.
It is a city full of green spaces, with a beautiful river (the Itchen) running through it.
There are lots of lovely old-fashioned pubs, many good restaurants, a sports centre, nature reserves... And it's only one hour from London on the train!
Fantastic place, great location - you will enjoy it a lot!
We also place students in nearby Romsey, another lovely town, just 20 minutes from Winchester. It has a lovely Abbey, an attractive market square and lots of good shops, cafes and really wonderful pubs.
You can easily visit Winchester from Romsey and vice-versa
Juniors (remember we guarantee them a family with a child of children of similar age) may be placed in villages near Winchester and Romsey.
